Why Linked In Literacy?

About Us

Linked in Literacy, LLC provides structured literacy instruction to schools and families that includes evidence-based instruction in reading, writing, and spelling. Many children that are struggling with reading & writing development require direct and explicit instruction in learning the "code"- or the rules that govern our English language.  The services we provide at Linked in Literacy include instruction using the Orton Gillingham approach to literacy, as well as instruction using the Wilson Reading System (WRS). The Orton Gillingham approach (which includes the WRS program) has been proven to be effective with people with dyslexia or other language-based disorders. Working with our instructors ensures that instruction is being provided by a highly trained therapist that understands the importance of implementing lessons with fidelity. Lessons are diagnostic and prescriptive to each individual's needs, which allows the learner to be more successful quicker.

Intensive remediation, designed for students in grades 2 and above, that targets word-level deficits caused by dyslexia and other language-based difficulties. This also includes remediation using Wilson's Just Words program, designed for students in grades 4 and above, who have less severe deficits in reading. Additional sessions may be recommended based on the severity of the learner's deficits, and the need to progress through the scope and sequence more quickly.

School-Based Instruction

Based on availability

Linked in Literacy partners directly with schools to provide their students with evidence-based literacy instruction that may not otherwise be available to their students. Our certified therapists have years of experience in communicating with staff members and parents, while providing instruction with fidelity, and reporting on progress through IEP updates.

Professional Development

Based on availability

Linked in Literacy has experience providing professional development to schools and organizations who are looking to deepen their understanding behind the science of reading. The strategies and methods that are essential for struggling readers are beneficial to ALL readers. Equipping educators with the knowledge and resources to reach every child in their classroom is powerful and rewarding.
